i have used this photo for my mock version for the front cover, i am thinking of making the image black and white as then i could do a colour scheme that doesn't match her clothes. i think that i could make one part of her clothing have a colour that would match the colour scheme, maybe her scarf as it is visable for the target audience.

i have taken photos that i am thinking of using in my magazine. as this isn't a single model, i'm thinking of using these photos on the contents page or front cover so that it looks like another article in the magazine.

here i have some colour schemes that i'm thinking of using in my magazine cover. i quite like the bold and bright colours as i think that it will look more like a teenagers magazine. also the style of the colours not going together makes the magazine more messy which could be linked to teenagers. i like the top colour scheme the most as the colours do go together and could look striking if the layout of colours is set right.

i have analysed different styles of lettering that i could use in my magazine cover to understand what effects the styles give and understand how they can appeal to my target market group.

i had decided that the name for the band i would write an article about will be called 'SAINTS IN CHAINS' as this gave me a rock feel and the name also sounded that it could only be a rockband name.

i have used this moodboard as inspiration to how i can take my photos. it has also given me ideas of what my models can wear to make them look more suitable for my music genre, most of the people in the moodboard are wearing black clothing which i can also have for my models to wear. there are also different locations in the photos which have inspired me to think of places which will make my own photos look more effective.

Planning and taking photo's (magazine cover)

the plan that i had for my magazine cover would have been based on music inside the college, i had designed a cover with a picture of a man holding a guitar looking up at the camera for my mid shot, after a while i had decided to change the theme of my magazine to skateboarding and blading, i had made this decision because i felt like i wanted to do something different than the rest of the class. who most would have done music or sports.





for my first photo, i had gotten my friend, Beau Green to come round to my house with his skateboard. i wanted him to be standing sideways so that the skateboard would be easier to see, i also wanted him to turn his head to the camera as i had thought that this would show some attitude for the magazine cover.the colours of his jacket and skateboard had inspired me as i thought that these three colours together could look quite striking.




as for my second photo, i had wanted to do an action shot of my friend doing a trick on his board, i had thought that if i had done this it would make it look more appealing to the reader. i would use this photo for the contents page my friend's face cannot be seen very well.
